The Archbishop of the Metropolitan See of Lagos (Catholic Mission), His Grace, Archbishop Alfred Adewale Martins, paid a courtesy visit to the Acting Medical Director of the National Orthopaedic Hospital, Igbobi, Lagos, Dr. Wakeel Lawal, to foster greater collaboration in addressing the spiritual and physical needs of the Hospital.

Dr. Wakeel Lawal warmly welcomed Archbishop Martins to the Hospital and emphasized the invaluable role religious organisations play in the holistic recovery of patients. He also appealed for continued prayers and philanthropic support from the visiting church to aid in the treatment of indigent patients Hospital.

In response, Archbishop Martins expressed his appreciation to the Hospital Management for the engagement. He commended the Hospital for its longstanding reputation and excellent service delivery. He also noted visible improvements in the hospital’s facilities and applauded the management for their remarkable achievements.

Speaking on future collaboration, Archbishop Martins assured the Hospital of his organisation’s continued spiritual support and pledged to extend charitable assistance to indigent patients within the church’s capacity.
