The National Orthopaedic Hospital Igbobi Lagos (NOHIL) successfully conducted a Joint Matriculation Ceremony today for the newly admitted students across its affiliated academic institutions and programmes.

The ceremony formally inducted students into the academic community and marked the official commencement of their training in various healthcare and allied disciplines. The event was well-attended by members of management, staff, invited guests, parents, guardians, and well-wishers

Students from the following institutions and programmes participated in the matriculation:

  1. College of Nursing Sciences Igbobi Lagos
  2. Federal College of Orthopaedic Technology Igbobi Lagos (FECOT)
  3. Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) Degree Programme in Prosthetics and Orthotics, offered in affiliation with Federal University of Technology Owerri (FUTO) in collaboration with FECOT

During the ceremony, the matriculating students took the official matriculation oath, signifying their acceptance of the rules, regulations, and ethical standards governing their respective professions and academic pursuits..

In his address, the hospital management emphasized the importance of discipline, dedication, and academic excellence, while encouraging the students to uphold the core values of the institution. The significance of inter-professional collaboration in healthcare delivery was also highlighted.

The ceremony proceeded smoothly and was successfully concluded without any incidents. It further reinforced NOHIL’s commitment to the training and development of competent healthcare professionals capable of contributing meaningfully to the health sector.
